Global Citizenship Action Day
A very special thank you to all who gave so generously of their time. Your visits brought our learning to life and helped the children to see the world through new and exciting perspectives.
Each class had the opportunity to explore a variety of countries, learning about unique cultures and traditions, delicious foods, weather, traditional clothing, currencies, native animals and so much more. The children were fascinated to discover how people live in different parts of the world and how our similarities and differences make our global community so rich and diverse.
Hearing personal stories and seeing authentic items from different countries made the experience especially meaningful. The children asked questions, shared their own connections, and showed great enthusiasm and respect as they learned about life beyond Ireland.
This workshop is an important part of our Green Schools journey, helping to foster global awareness, understanding and appreciation of diversity. We are incredibly grateful to Ms Yang, Agnes, Ivan, Gizele, Mary Francis & Anna, who supported this initiative. Your involvement has made a lasting impact on our students and has strengthened the sense of community within our school.
