Litter & Waste Workshop

 Mrs Hyland visited each classroom to deliver an engaging and hands-on Litter and Waste Workshop! 🌍♻️

The focus was on understanding the difference between general waste, recycling, and food waste, and why it’s so important to sort our rubbish correctly to help protect our environment.

Each class was given a bag of mixed rubbish and worked together to decide which bin each item belonged in. There were some great discussions as pupils carefully examined packaging, leftovers, and everyday items before choosing the correct bin. 🗑️

It was fantastic to see such thoughtful teamwork and enthusiasm. Our children are becoming true eco-champions, learning small actions that make a big difference! 🌱

Well done everyone for taking part and showing such a positive attitude towards caring for our planet!

Global Citizenship Action Day

 As part of our Green Schools Global Citizenship Action Day, we were delighted to welcome Ms Yang and several wonderful parents from our school community into our classrooms to share their knowledge and experiences of different countries around the world. A very special thank you to all who gave so generously of their time. Your visits brought our learning to life and helped the children to see the world through new and exciting perspectives. Each class had the opportunity to explore a variety of countries, learning about unique cultures and traditions, delicious foods, weather, traditional clothing, currencies, native animals and so much more.
